The brand new 2005 Corsair 31-1D extreme racing machine is Corsair's newest version of the venerable Corsair 31. Boasting what is arguably the best racing performance & handling a production sailboat can offer, it is ideal for the experienced sailor who wants the ultimate performance on the race course, faster than a 70-footer with a crew of three or four (that's affordable!). It comes only in the extended Aft-cockpit configuration, & enhanced performance comes from the streamlined interior void of cruising amenities, a carbon-fiber mast & boom, retractable bowsprit, modified foil design. For the first time in Corsair Marine history, all new Corsair 31-1Ds will be delivered with a set of its one-design racing rules & specifications & certification that on delivery it fulfils these requirements.
